Adulting, distributed by Video Data Bank, will be featured at the Reeling Festival in Chicago and was recently showcased at the Queer West Film Festival in Montana.
Professor Emeritus of Art James Duesing‘s new animation Adulting has been selected for distribution by Video Data Bank (VDB), a leading resource for contemporary video art in the U.S. Adulting explores the collective experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals, creating a unique narrative described as a queer valentine with a fever dream.
Adulting will be featured in the upcoming Reeling Festival in Chicago this September, one of the longest-running LGBTQ+ film festivals. It was also screened at the Queer West 2024 Film Festival in Montana this past June. In addition, VDB has made all of Duesing’s animations available on its new educational streaming site.
