Running through September 19 at JLShorr Gallery in Zelienople, PA, the group exhibition explores themes of anticipation, transformation, and the beauty of the unresolved.
Professor Kristen Letts Kovak brings 28 paintings and mixed-media works to “With Bated Breath,” a new three-person exhibition at JLShorr Gallery in Zelienople. Curated by Jason Shorr, the show features Kovak alongside Joshua Hogan and Jeffrey Smith.
Across painting and sculpture, each artist creates work that exists in a state of becoming — where forms emerge, narratives remain open, and meaning unfolds through careful observation. Together, their distinct visual languages invite viewers to linger in moments of expectation, embracing the quiet tension between what is known and what is just about to reveal itself.
The gallery will host an Artist Talk on September 13 from 7-8:30pm, offering an opportunity to hear from all three artists as they share their creative process, inspirations, and the ideas behind their work. Full details are available here.
