School of Art students Rachel Moeller, Miranda Jacoby were among a team of 6 CMU undergrads to win the Diversity Award at the Pittsburgh Int’l Game Developers Association’s Global Game Jam for their game “A Matter of Fact.”

The team (Miranda Jacoby, Rachel Moeller, Tom Garncarz, Maddie Duque, Matthew Bofenkamp, and Adrian Biagioli) created “A Matter of Fact” – a game in which two players run for political office by forging “facts” against their opponent to expand their own influence over rural, suburban, and urban areas of a nation. Through humor and rivalry, the game attempts to present an opportunity for listening, reflection, and conversation on the malformation of facts and rhetoric in America.
