Hames joins Northern Illinois University faculty, alumni, and visiting artists in a retrospective celebrating a renowned printmaking program.

School of Art Print Technician and Adjunct Professor Kellie Hames is featured in “60 Years of NIU Printmaking: A Legacy of Excellence” at the NIU Art Museum in DeKalb, Illinois. On view through May 9, 2026, the exhibition highlights the artistic contributions of faculty, alumni, and visiting artists who have shaped Northern Illinois University’s printmaking program since its founding in 1964.

A graduate of NIU’s MFA program, Hames joins dozens of artists whose work reflects the program’s enduring impact on contemporary printmaking. Curated by Michael Barnes and Peter Olson, the exhibition features a wide range of media, including intaglio, lithography, woodcut, silkscreen, and monoprint. A public gallery talk with the curators will be held September 24 in the museum’s South Galleries.
