Lena Chen MFA ’22 is one of five recipients of the 2022 Creative Power Awards, a small grants program designed to support creators working at the intersection of art and social justice. Chen will use the grant to develop “CAMOPTICON,” a multi-channel video installation that physically mimics the experience of being watched on the web. Housed within a panopticon peepshow structure, the work features testimonies from online sex workers and will be exhibited as part of her thesis exhibition at the Miller ICA in March 2022.
