The exhibition showcases innovative works by more than 120 artists, exploring connections between queer identity, nature, and community through diverse print mediums.
Professor Mary Tremonte (BHA ’00) co-curates The Queer Ecology Hanky Project, currently on exhibit at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo, ND. Running through December 15, 2024, the show features more than 120 artists from across North America, exploring the intersection of queerness, ecology, and printmaking traditions through wearable artworks and various print mediums.
Tremonte, alongside co-curator Vee Adams, engaged with the Fargo-Moorhead community through events coinciding with local pride celebrations. The project will next travel to Edmonton, Alberta, for an exhibition at SNAP (Society of Northern Albertan Print-Artists) from January 18 to February 25, 2025. The project continues its mission of fostering connections between artists and the natural world, offering creative expressions of resilience and gender diversity in an increasingly challenging global environment.
