Professor Maria Elena Versari gave a talk remotely at the University of Venice (Department of Asian and Mediterranean African Studies) on the Futurists and the international avant-garde in Berlin. The talk highlighted the issue of how, after World War I, the avant-garde engaged with internationalism and artistic syndicalism in order to create alternative visibility and commercial networks to the typical capitalist and State-sponsored avenues of artistic commercialization.
