The first public release of limited-edition prints from AIR’s archive will showcase work by Professor Clayton Merrell alongside other Pittsburgh-based artists.
On November 1, Artists Image Resource (AIR) on Pittsburgh’s North Side will host a print release party to celebrate works from Dorothy L. Stubnitz Professor of Art Clayton Merrell, alongside Professor Alisha Wormsley, Professor Emerita Patricia Bellan-Gillen, and artists William Fick, Catherine Drabkin, Ricardo Ruiz, and Jefferson Pinder. The event marks the first public release of these prints from AIR’s extensive print archive, which will help support AIR’s community programming.
Founded in 1996 with a mission to connect artists with the public, AIR has been a vital space for creative experimentation, enabling professional artists, students, and the public to collaborate in its 10,000-square-foot studio. AIR’s new releases are just the start of ongoing access to limited-edition works, with a full exhibition of the new prints planned for December 2024.
