Professor Alisha Wormsley‘s so exhibition “The Space I Am In: Oracles” opens at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg, PA on October 4. The exhibition will be celebrated at a reception on October 11 and continues through December 8.
For the “The Space I Am In: Oracles”, Wormsley was invited to respond the Museum’s permanent collection. As she examined the collection, both in the galleries and in storage, she felt a strong connection to the portraits of women, specifically how they are depicted, their posture, their differences, and what is being asked of them both by those who portray them and view them.
