Shikeith Captures "The Birth of the Cool" for T Magazine - School of Art

Photographed on location in Pittsburgh, Shikeith’s latest portfolio explores the enduring elegance of jazz.

Visiting MFA Core Faculty member Shikeith lensed a new fashion portfolio for The New York Times Style Magazine, titled “Jazz Style Is Back in the Spotlight.” Shot on location at Pittsburgh’s historic Benedum Center and the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, the images bridge the gap between musical heritage and modern luxury, featuring designs from houses such as Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, and Saint Laurent. The shoot is styled by Sasha Kelly and appears in the magazine’s March 8 print edition with the headline “Birth of the Cool.”
