The animated short Adulting will premiere in All That is Solid, a UK exhibition celebrating animation as contemporary art, and screen at Gene Siskel Film Center’s Conversations at the Edge series.
Professor Emeritus James Duesing’s 2024 animation Adulting continues to gain international attention. The short has been selected as one of 15 works featured in All That is Solid, an exhibition celebrating animation as both art and craft. Launched at QUAD in Derby, UK, on January 23, the exhibition will run through February 16 before touring the UK throughout 2025. Closer to home, Adulting is part of Boys and Men, the opening program of Conversations at the Edge, which highlights innovative and experimental media. The screening will take place at Chicago’s Gene Siskel Film Center on February 13 at 6pm. Duesing will be present via zoom for a Q&A after the screening.
