London Williams is a multidisciplinary artist that navigates intersections of blackness through masculinity and sexuality within paintings, drawings, photographs, and mixed media. The work approaches documentation of the domestic interior as a reproach of a history that has yet to be lived. He uses metaphors and symbols are in materials and color and creates intimacy through an internal dialogue within the work. His paintings imagine a fictional home where experimentation informs explorations of blackness and queerness—collaging experiences with an emphasis on the figure and the domestic interior.
