“Stinkhorn,” a video by Professor Suzie Silver and Hilary Harp, is part of three upcoming film festivals. The video will screen at the 10th edition of Festival Audiovisual Infantil y Juvenil (Audiovisual Festival for Kids and Teens) in Merida, Venezuela, November 11-15; the Image + Nation LGBTQUEER Film Festival on November 23, as part of the program “ANIMATION drawn to you,” in Montreal, Canada; and Cinematic Panic in Memphis, TN, November 28 to December 1.
“Stinkhorn” is the story of a naughty trickster who by day is the devoted beau of the town’s blacksmith, and by night turns the blacksmith’s apprentice into a horse and rides him all night long. Based on a Scottish folk tale, the film moves the tale’s events to the fictional 1880’s mining town of Stinkhorn, Arizona Territory.
