In conjunction with Angela Dufresne’s solo exhibition “Making a Scene” at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, MO, Professor Melissa Ragona will give a museum talk on November 1 at 6:00pm. She will also lead a tour of the exhibition on October 31 from 2:00 to 3:30pm.
On view through January 6, “Making a Scene” is a major solo museum exhibition comprising of more than thirty paintings and video works by Angela Dufresne spanning nearly a decade. Focusing on her signature depictions of modern life, Dufresne compositionally connects viewers to the history of painting and cinema.
