The exhibition challenged viewers to rethink the role of media in public spaces and its influence on social dynamics in the modern urban landscape.

Professor Johannes DeYoung‘s work was showcased on the Daniels & Fisher Tower in Denver, CO, as part of the New Media Architectures exhibition from July 24 to August 4, 2024. Organized in collaboration with Night Lights Denver, the Denver Theater District, and the ACM SIGGRAPH Digital Arts Committee, the New Media Architecture(s) exhibition featured 30 artists exploring the impact of pervasive media displays in urban environments. DeYoung’s contribution, along with others, was presented on large-scale video displays throughout the Denver Theater District, offering brief aesthetic interruptions amidst the city’s constant flow of advertisements and corporate messaging.
