Professor Heidi Wiren Bartlett and her collaborator Jennifer Masada will be performing an 8-hour durational piece on Friday, October 19 at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, as part of the Vertigo Performance Art Series. Their piece “S O I L O I L I L L” is a ritual – a meditation on labor and deep time, and a portrayal of women’s existence in America today. Facing oppression, their bodies act with power and vulnerability. With subversive intention, they reflect, insist, and transmute.
