Zhiwan Cheung (MFA ‘16) is opening “H.F. Cybernetic Sensorium,” an exhibition with Oksana Kryzhanivska at H. F. Johnson Gallery of Art at Carthage College, Kenosha, WI. They will hold an artist talk Sept 17, 6:15-7:30. Cheung is also participating in the ARTservancy residency program, with an exhibition at Gallery 224 in September 2026, and was awarded support from Gener8tor Art x Sherman Phoenix, a program culminating in work shown at Door Country Contemporary Art Fair in Milwaukee.  

Maxine Unterberg Cohn (BFA ’69) exhibited several pieces at The Ebell of Los Angeles in a two-month show.

Nkechi Ebubedike (BFA ‘06) is showed at The Armory Show in NYC with Tafeta Gallery, September 5-7.

Lauren Faigeles (BFA ‘13) is participating in “Line, Smudge, Shade” at Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College in Claremont, CA, on view through January 4, 2026. 

Marc Fischer (BFA ‘93) is exhibiting in the Public Collectors Publication Survey at The Taft Research Center in Cincinnati, September 4 – November 4. He also gave a lecture at the opening reception and held a Single Sheet Publication workshop. 

Matthew McGaughey (MFA ‘22) will open their first solo show “Staged” with Reisig and Taylor Gallery in Los Angeles, CA, including multichannel video work and sculptural installation. The opening reception is September 20, 7-10pm.

Carin Micemoyer (BFA ‘94) recently unveiled Bower, a suspended sculpture at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. 

Aaron Regal (BFA ‘13) is participating in “But Wait, There’s More!,” a group show at Associated Artists of Pittsburgh through October 24. 

Paul Rouphail (BFA ‘10) showed work in The Armory Show, presenting work with Jack Barrett Gallery, September 4-7. 

Alexandra Rubinstein (BFA ‘10) is participating in “GIFT,” a group exhibition at IRL Gallery in New York City, open through October 4. 

Nina Sarnelle (MFA ‘13) received an Anonymous Was A Woman Environmental Art Grant to tour “Breath Work” to communities impacted by air pollution. 

Susan Schwalb (BFA ‘65) will host an exhibition celebration on September 13, spotlighting her current exhibitions with Patrick Heide Contemporary Art and The Courtauld Museum in London. She was also profiled in Hyperallergic, reflecting on her workspace in “A view From the Easel,” published August 28, 2025. 

Shori Sims (BFA ‘22) is opening “Soft Spot” with Meg Howton and Bethany Moody on September 12 at Ground Floor Contemporary, with an artist talk scheduled for the closing on September 27 at 3pm.
