March & April 2026: Admitted Art Student Months!
Admitted students can take in-person and virtual tours of the Art studios and facilities, meet with current students, and sit-in on classes.
Schedule a one-on-one meeting with Art Admissions to ask any questions you may have as you find the right college for your future. This can be about the overall program, the School, the enrollment process etc. Parents, guardians, and family members are welcome!

Spring 2026 Classroom Visits
The option to sit-in on classes is available Monday – Thursday. Space is limited and pending final faculty approval. To schedule a classroom visit, fill out this form or email slugtu@cmu.edu.
Spring 2026 In-Person Events
We offer two types of in-person events:
- 1: INFO SESSION From First-Year to Studio. What actually happens in an art program? Find out from the students living it. First-year students will share how the Foundations curriculum changed the way they think and make, while upperclassmen open their studios and talk about their creative journeys.
- 2: SCHOOL OF ART TOUR led by current students. Visit active workspaces, see art in progress, and hear firsthand about the creative process, studio culture, and daily life as an art student.

Fall 2026 In-Person Tours
Fall in-person tours of the School of Art will begin Summer 2025. This student-led tour will show you the School of Art classrooms, workshops, and studio space. This tour does NOT include the Carnegie Mellon campus, dining halls, dorms etc.

School of Art Info Session
This is a virtual info session to learn more about the School of Art BFA & BXA degree programs, curriculum, application deadlines, admission process, portfolio guidelines, and more! This will be a group session with Q&A. After you’ve completed an info session, you can sign up to meet one-on-one for specific questions or for a portfolio review.
