Isaac Mehki is an American artist working out of Pittsburgh, PA. He was born and raised in Villa Rica, a small railroad town on the western edge of Georgia. He was raised by a family of pastors and worship leaders, and it was here that he inherited an interest in history, mythology, politics, teaching and performance. 

Employing pseudo-biographical storytelling and intuitive world building, he constructs unexpected relationships within the socio-political landscape of the American South. Focused on seeing slant, he identifies and disidentifies material culture, recycling and rethinking encoded meaning. His experience-driven, interdisciplinary practice confronts his own social inheritance, interrogating cultural narratives to provoke catharsis.
