In conjunction with Artists Who Teach, The Westmoreland Museum of American Art invited each of the teaching artists to nominate one of their students for “Students of Artists Who Teach.” The selection of student work was juried by Chief Curator Barbara Jones and Curatorial Assistant Bonnie West.
“Students of Artists Who Teach” features School of Art junior Ema Furusho (nominated by Professor Andrew Ellis Johnson) and junior Mairead Dambruch (nominated by Professors Susanne Slavick and John Carson), along with recent alumni Josh Archer BFA ’18, Anna Baldi BFA ’18, and Christopher Copeland BFA ’18 (nominated by Professor Bob Bingham), and Matthew Constant BFA ’18 (nominated by Professor Clayton Merrell), and Jamie Earnest BFA ’16 (nominated by Professor Kristen Kovak).
The exhibition is on view September 14 through October 14. An opening reception will be held on September 14 from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
