Professor Britt Ransom will give a talk and show work as part of the DEMO2024, presented by NEW INC and the New Museum. DEMO2024 will spotlight innovative projects created by 38 current NEW INC members and additional special guests. The event takes place June 5 to 7 at WSA and Water Street Projects in New York.
Ransom’s work is included in the exhibition “Social Architecture”, an exhibition brings together the work of six interdisciplinary artists and invites viewer upon Seven Walks. Each artwork is a walk documenting their own excursion in sociality that attempts to crack away at the mosaic of forces that have produced our rapidly shifting built environment. The longest walk threads the six works together along a meandering path, urging viewers to consider social architecture beyond a qualifier and towards a mode of engagement concerning the intimate ways these artists make sense of place, cities, and infrastructures, in relation to their personal histories.
Ransom’s talk will take place on June 7, where she will share her individual project as part of her NEW INC track.
