In addition to regular classes — held Monday through Thursday — you’ll also participate in Friday workshops. These morning and afternoon sessions give you access to an even wider variety of artistic experiences, topics, skills, and spaces. While attendance is required, you are not evaluated on workshop performance, fostering an atmosphere of exploration, trial and error, and freedom.
The Friday Workshops are regularly taught by industry professionals and creatives outside of the Pre-College Art program, and their experiences can help you to better understand the available resources and potential career opportunities beyond school.
Examples of past workshops include:
- Full Body Wig
- Portfolio Making
- A Short History of the Shadow
- Narrative and Immersive Storytelling through Audio
- Anatomy for Artists
- Circuit Bending
- Experimental Portrait
