Sean Beauford

Adjunct Professor of Art

Sean Beauford is an independent curator, producer, and writer from Mansfield, Ohio. He works collaboratively with artists and organizations to produce creative and educational opportunities for marginalized communities, while providing communal access to institutional resources. He previously held positions at the Mattress Factory and Carnegie Museum of Art, and guest-curated at various institutions including the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and the Mattress Factory. He has written for The Westmoreland Museum of American Art, Silver Eye Center for Photography, Artsy, The Bunker Review, and Pittsburgh City Paper. He is a recent recipient of a two-year grant from The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Heinz Endowments to support a multi-disciplinary project exploring the relationship between Pittsburgh and Mansfield, OH through the lens of the rise and fall of industry from 1918 to the present.
