Peter Paul Depasquale

Adjunct Professor and Assistant Director, Career Consultant for the College of Fine Arts

Peter is a Pittsburgh-based artist and educator. He received a dual BFA in Printmaking & Art Education at Syracuse University (2012) and an MFA in Printmedia at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2016). As an Educator, Peter has been a high school art teacher, a small business career coach, an entrepreneurial workshop leader, and a product manufacturing instructor. He currently works at CMU’s Career and Professional Development Center as a Career Advisor — offering guidance to students in the School of Architecture, Design, Art, and the BXA program.

As a maker and artist, Peter has produced work in all forms of traditional printmaking; multimedia installation; creative fiction writing; drawings influenced by generative AI content; and a year-long performance piece as a parody NFT artist. As a business owner, he co-founded and led product design for MINIMA-MAXIMA — a homegoods & jewelry company that specialized in contemporary bolo ties. Their work was spotlighted in multiple national ad campaigns; featured in over 100 events across the US; carried in boutique shops in over a dozen states; completed more than 10,000 combined domestic and international sales; and appeared on an episode of Jeopardy, two indie films, and the wedding of a B-list celebrity.
