Lena Chen (MFA ’22) and Michael Neumann (MFA ’20) will perform “Crosswind Landing” for the Eighth Annual Salt Lake City Performance Art Festival. “Crosswind Landing” explores the desire to see and be seen. Technology collides with the gaze of the Other as an energy exchange unfolds between the artists at various natural and man-made “crossings.” The durational site-specific performance is an attempt to bridge the impassable distance between intimate partners in the age of screen-mediated relationships.
