Professor Natalie Westbrook presents new works in “Mill Street,” a group exhibition in New Haven, CT. More than 40 artists working at monumental scale created works to occupy a 25,000 square-foot warehouse in this group exhibition.
Westbrook’s grisaille paintings explore the theme of monumentality by reframing seventeenth century history painting in a contemporary context. Abstract yet of the body, Westbrook’s two new large-scale works create a camouflage that blends reality with fiction. “Mill Street” in on view at 26 Mill Street in New Haven from February 22 through March 21.
