On November 15, Professor Melissa Ragona will moderate a panel on the artist Jennifer Wynne Reeves titled “Soul Fire” at the Drawing Center in New York. Issues of Reeves work, such as the inventive tensions between text and image,figuration and abstraction, materiality and ephemerality, the frame and the void will be discussed. Artists Lisa Beck, Brainard Carey, Derek Fordjour, and Archie Rand will have a dynamic discussion about Reeves’s fearless, idiosyncratic, contemporary aesthetic.
