Las Hermanas Iglesias, comprised of Professor Janelle Iglesias and her sister Lisa, open their exhibition “Mirror Rim” at Washington & Lee University’s Staniar Gallery on February 11. With mischief and buoyancy, the works in “Mirror Rim” complicate borders or assumptions about and between mediums as the artists co-opt and repurpose everyday materials that celebrate multiple viewpoints through transparency – lenses, privacy screens, mirrors, and portals – pushing ideas of dimensionality and ways of seeing. They will give a lecture on February 12 at 5:30 p.m.
