“otherwise” at Maine College of Art & Design

Curated by Iris Williamson, “otherwise” at the ICA at MECA&D features artists who draw on science fiction, mythologies, oral traditions, and real-world histories to transform lived experiences into inventive narratives. Professor Alisha B. Wormsley’s work for the show, on view through December 13, offers perspectives that merge personal and communal histories. She will also present a Visiting Artist Talk on November 10, providing insight into her practice and its intersections with storytelling, community, and cultural memory.

Idea Furnace Retrospective at Pittsburgh Glass Center

Wormsley also appears in the Idea Furnace Retrospective, on view through January 19, 2026, at the Pittsburgh Glass Center. This exhibition highlights artists from a variety of media who participated in the Idea Furnace program, which pairs non-glass artists with glassmakers to explore new creative possibilities. Wormsley presents work alongside School of Art alum Erin Mallea (MFA ’19) and four other artists, together showcasing how collaborative processes with glass can inform and expand an artist’s practice.
