Open Studios 3024
December 6 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The Carnegie Mellon School of Art presents Open Studios 3024, where artists envision life a millennium from now, exploring a world transformed by innovation and challenge. Is 3024 the calm after humanity’s storm, or are we still mid-apocalypse?
Join us Friday, December 6 from 6 to 9 pm for this one-night-only, annual tradition in the College of Fine Arts (3rd and 4th floors) and Hall of the Arts (3rd floor). Explore Senior, Junior, and MFA students’ art studios, experience unique animations and games, enjoy free food, a DJ and karaoke (in the elevator!), and even take home pieces from the art sale.
No tickets required — simply walk into the studios, where artists challenge perceptions of survival, education, and artistic expression in a world shaped by present-day choices. But don’t worry — while the art contemplates peril, visitors are perfectly safe to explore. This family-friendly event is open to all. Street parking is available along Frew and Tech streets or in CMU’s East Campus Garage.
