LaToya Ruby Frazier

In photography, video, performance, installation art and books, LaToya Ruby Frazier uses collaborative storytelling to address topics of industrialism, Rust Belt revitalization, environmental justice, access to health care, access to clean water, Workers’ Rights, Human Rights, family, and communal history. Born and raised in Braddock, PA, her work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Centre George Pompidou, among many, many others.
This lecture is the School of Art’s Robert L. Lepper Distinguished Lecture in Creative Inquiry and is presented in collaboration with the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture.
