Brandeis University Lecture

On March 17, Professor Kim Beck spoke as a visiting critic at her alma mater, Brandeis University’s Department of Fine Arts, where she gave a public lecture on her artistic practice. Brandeis, home to the renowned Rose Art Museum and the Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts, is a hub for the visual and performing arts in New England.

Walking as Creative & Community Practice

On March 15, Beck led a walk as part of Walking As Creative & Community Practice, a six-part winter workshop hosted by Paper + Dirt, a Pittsburgh bookshop and community space. Inspired by Rebecca Solnit’s Wanderlust: A History of Walking, the series examines walking as an artistic, social, and meditative act, inviting participants to engage with their surroundings and reinforcing the connection between movement, environment, and creative thought.
