Erin Zona
Adjunct Professor of Art
Erin Zona is an artist-centered strategist who has been working as an educator and collaborator in the arts for over 20 years. Their experience spans multiple platforms, usually focused within the framework of printmaking and independent publishing. In her work and research, Erin has a special interest in research-based projects that utilize archives and special collections, especially those highlighting the influence of radically queer and lesbian contributions to the history of art. From 2017-2014, Erin worked as the Director of Women’s Studio Workshop’s publishing imprint. During this time, they oversaw the production and publication of 27 artist’s book titles and represented over 200 artists in the sales and distribution of their artists’ books. In this role, Erin spearheaded new publications that have been transformative for both WSW and the field of artists’ books. She received her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2009 and a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2002.
