Sarah Bowling is an interdisciplinary artist exploring the power dynamics embedded within intimacy and relationships, the phases of vulnerability within the self, and the weight of desire. Her work is brightly colored, blingy, and unapologetically demands attention. The perpetual limbo between being embraced/restricted, revealed/hidden, and autonomous/dependent is where her work finds traction.

Sarah received her BFA in 2016 from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she was awarded the Creative Honors Merit Scholarship. She recently completed a two year residency at RedLine Contemporary Art Center in Denver, Colorado. Her work has been exhibited nationally including her most recent solo show at RULE Gallery in Marfa, Texas.
