SUMMARY:Family Meeting
DESCRIPTION:“Family Meeting” includes recent work by current advanced Print Media students from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Art. The work is fresh; final projects from this semester\, produced by some the newest contributors to Pittsburgh’s art community. SUMMARY:EXQUISITE
DESCRIPTION:Taking its name form the surrealist game\, exquisite corpse\, “EXQUISITE” is a week long collaboration exhibition featuring eight artist from the Carnegie Mellon and Pittsburgh community. During the week of June 24-30\, these eight artists will be working to transform Powder Room into a laboratory for extraordinary exploration. Bringing their own interest and expertise to the table\, each artist will hop\, skip and jump from studio to studio\, blending their artistic practices as the week progresses. \nFrom Monday\, June 25 through Friday\, June 29\, Powder Room will be open to the public from 5pm until 8pm\, and we encourage visitors to enter and observe the spaces as the artists work.\nOn Saturday\, June 30\, we will host a closing reception\, and the gallery will be presented as the residue of the week’s collaboration. \nParticipating Artists\nPaper Buck\nJamison Edgar\nShori Sims\nJess Medenbach\nDan Ivec\n​​Ceci Ebitz \nExhibition Dates:\nSunday\, June 24 – Saturday\, June 30\nGallery Open Hours for the Public: Monday – Friday 5pm-8pm\nClosing Reception and Party: Saturday\, June 30th 7-11pm \nPowder Room is led and organized by MFA candidates in the School of Art at Carnegie Mellon University.
