SUMMARY:Family Meeting
DESCRIPTION:“Family Meeting” includes recent work by current advanced Print Media students from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Art. The work is fresh; final projects from this semester\, produced by some the newest contributors to Pittsburgh’s art community. These works are by students with no more than 2 years of experience with printmaking and yet their projects engage with both the technical and conceptual range of the medium. “Family Meeting” lovingly refers to our 8:30 am class ritual\, where we made our family through sharing our love of print and our ambitions for new artworks over a cup of coffee. \nOpening Reception: May 4\, 5:30-9:00pm \nArtists:\nCoco Allred\nAshley Chan\nFaye Couvrette\nLucy Denegre\nKianna Gonzalez\nIsadora Krsek\nAmy Lin\nSamantha Mack\nRebecca Marcus\nBrandon Ngai\nVictoriano Reyes

SUMMARY:The Last Dinner (pARTy)
DESCRIPTION:Opening Reception: May 9\, 6-9pm\nMay 9 – May 21 (by appointment only May 13-21) \nDinner pARTy is a series of participatory performative dinners created to foster vulnerability and connection between strangers. The medium of the work takes the form of moments shared between guests. Dinner pARTy encourages a break in the monotony of what we say and who we say it to. Cloaked in the safety of anonymity\, attendants are asked to join our intimate community and share a part of their story. Each dinner takes on a new form designed to exist on the line between comforting and uncomfortable in order to create a space where guests feel at home but are willing to interact in unconventional ways. \nDinner pARTy is a project by Daniel See (BHA’19)\, Sarah Stinson-Hurwitz (BHA’18)\, Faith Kaufman (BD’18)\, and Nick Boston (BS’18).
